Even if you have your skipper’s ticket, you still may not feel 100% confident to skipper a vessel. Here we take a voyage with you to help build your confidence on the water and with your vessel.
Confidence Building is often used:
- To familiarise yourself with a new vessel.
- To gain the confidence to take your friends out on your boat and be in control
- As a great way to have a girls day out!!!
The day is designed around a typical day of leisure. You not only learn valuable skills on the water but we also have a great time enjoying a cruise along with a delicious picnic basket and take in the sights of Western Australia’s beautiful coastline and river systems. The voyage will depend on your location and the size of your vessel but a session can be based around a river cruise, a trip to Fremantle’s Fishing Boat Harbour for coffee or a visit to Rottnest.
Confidence Building is a 4 hour private session which includes all the skills involved in the RST practical assessment as well as:
- Charts
- Tides
- Weather
- Anchoring
- Ropework
- Handling and Manoeuvring
- Use of Life Saving Appliances, eg marine radio, flares etc
When: Weekends (Weather Depending)
Time: 9am till 1pm
Price: $300 for 1-2 people, $450 for 3-4 people. ($75 per hour for additional time, travel outside Rockingham may incur extra fee.)
What is included: Gourmet Picnic Basket, soft drinks and a Skipperchicks Guide.
